The 2013 Chevalier-Montrachet “Clos des Chevalier” Grand Cru is showing a little new wood character on the nose, although this will disappear after fining. The palate is very smooth and seductive. The acidity is extraordinarily well judged and is threaded through the lightly honeyed, mineral-rich fruit. This is a gorgeous Chevalier-Montrachet with not a hair out of place on the long and tender finish. This could turn out to be one of the white gems of the 2013 vintage – chapeau!
